We collect information you provide directly (name, email, business details, product listings, RFQ content), information generated by your use of the Platform (transaction records, search queries, communication logs), and technical information (IP address, browser type, device identifiers).
2. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used to: operate and improve the Platform; match buyers with relevant suppliers; process transactions; send operational communications; detect and prevent fraud; comply with legal obligations; and train AI models (in anonymised, aggregated form only).
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share information with: transaction counterparties (buyers and suppliers share necessary contact and commercial information to complete transactions); service providers (payment processors, cloud infrastructure, AI model providers) under data processing agreements; and law enforcement when legally required.
4. AI Processing
Your RFQ content, buyer requests, and product descriptions may be processed by AI systems to generate documents, evaluate proposals, and provide procurement assistance. This processing is conducted on encrypted infrastructure. We do not use identifiable personal data to train external AI models.
5. Data Retention
Account data is retained for the life of your account plus 7 years (for trade compliance purposes). Transaction records are retained for 7 years. You may request deletion of personal data subject to legal retention requirements.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, and request deletion of your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us through the Help Center. We will respond within 30 days.
7. Security
We use industry-standard encryption (TLS in transit, AES-256 at rest), access controls, and security monitoring. No system is 100% secure โ please protect your account credentials and notify us immediately of any suspected unauthorised access.
8. Cookies
We use session cookies (required for authentication), analytics cookies (to understand usage patterns), and no third-party advertising cookies. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings.
9. Cross-Border Transfers
TAIM54 operates across African borders. Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. We ensure all cross-border transfers comply with applicable data protection law and that receiving entities maintain equivalent protection standards.
